Trig Challenge allows instructors to add computer-based instruction to their trigonometry courses without changing textbooks or classroom instructional methods. Trig Challenge is not intended to replace textbooks and classroom instruction. The program is designed to supplement other instruction methods by providing rich and varied activities including immediate feedback. Student responses are evaluated immediately. Correct responses allow students to proceed immediately to the next step in an activity. The correct process is displayed immediately after an incorrect response.
The topics in Trig Challenge are sufficiently general to be used with any textbook or computer based tutorial on the subject of numerical trigonometry. The activities can be used in both the learning and testing aspects of instruction.
